Seachem Reef Potassium

Potassium is a vital element essential for metabolic processes, protein synthesis, and the healthy growth of corals and macroalgae in reef aquariums. When systems are supplemented with nitrogen and phosphorus, potassium utilization increases, making targeted supplementation crucial. This product provides an effective way to raise potassium concentrations without introducing additional phosphate or dissolved organics, ensuring a balanced and clean environment for your aquatic life.

Supplementing potassium can significantly enhance coral and macroalgae growth and intensify vibrant colors, especially the red and pink hues in corals, contributing to a more stunning reef display.

Ideal for use with automated dosing systems or manual application, this formula contains 10% elemental potassium and is designed to maintain potassium levels typically ranging from 380 to 400 mg/L, tailored to your aquariums unique needs. For comprehensive nutrient management, it is recommended to use this potassium supplement alongside nitrogen and phosphorus products to optimize overall water chemistry and promote healthy reef ecosystems.

Directions

Beginner:
Use 1 cap (5 mL) per 160 L (40 US gallons) twice weekly or as needed to sustain desired potassium concentrations.

Advanced:
The beginner dose increases potassium by approximately 3 mg/L. To achieve a specific potassium increase, apply the formula: 0.01 volume (L) desired potassium increase (mg/L) = volume of product (mL). For example, to raise potassium by 3 mg/L in 160 liters, dose 5 mL. (Note: 1 US gallon = 3.8 L.)
